Gay Couple Set Longest Kiss Record
A gay couple in Thailand celebrated Valentine’s Day with a world record-breaking kiss lasting 50 hours, 25 minutes and one second.
VOA News reports that couples taking part in the annual Ripley's Believe It or Not competition in Pattaya, Thailand, started kissing Sunday, February 12, and had to keep their lips locked at all times, including to eat and drink and to go to the bathroom.
Nontawat Jaroegenasornsin, 31, and Thanakorn Sittiamthong, 28, won $6,500 worth of diamond rings, cash and a voucher for a five-star hotel in Thailand for their first place kiss.
"We are happy about the result. We won because we supported each other," said Jaroegenasornsin.
