Cyrus Equality Tattoo Sparks Twitter Battle
Teen pop star Miley Cyrus' new body art sparked a heated Twitter discussion over the weekend after the 18-year-old tweeted a picture of her finger with the marriage equality-inspired tattoo of an equals sign, with a description saying: "All LOVE is equal."
Almost immediately fans responded on Twitter. When one follower, @MileyCyrusLuver asked Cyrus, a self-professed Christian, where in the Bible "God says homosexuality" is OK, she fired back with her own question: "Where does it say in the bible to judge others? ... It doesn't. GOD is the only judge honey. 'God is love.'"
The comments prompted a full-scale Twitter battle between her fans, who reportedly went so far as to Tweet death threats against @MileyCyrusLuver.
Eventually, Cyrus had to intervene in support of her antagonist, posting: "Dude everyone lay off @MileyCyrusLuver Love u! Everyone is entitled 2 opinions! ‘if u don't stand 4 something you'll fall for anything.'"
